It was Saturday morning, and the bedside clock's hands had just moved to seven o'clock when the alarm went off.
I wondered why I had forgotten to turn it off as I was still sleepy.... So after thinking about it for 2 seconds, I decided to turn over and go back to sleep.
That's when a light bulb went off in my brain. I had set aside this Saturday morning to clean the track on my layout, using a rag, CRC NF Contact Cleaner, and plenty of elbow grease. Suddenly, an idea struck me, and I had to get up after all.
So I told myself to get out of bed and start working on this before I forgot. I gathered the gear I needed: one 90cm extendable selfie stick that I had never used, one 11cm plastic spring clamp, and one non-scratch mesh scourer.

I drilled a hole through one of the clamp's handles, slightly smaller than the selfie stick's camera bolt. Then, I screwed the selfie stick into the clamp, cutting a thread in the drilled plastic hole with the bolt. After adding a non-scratch mesh scourer to the clamp, I had a track cleaner that could reach wherever I wanted, and the price was $0. Well done, now should I think about going back to bed? I guess not, that's the wife calling me.
Whisper to you next Saturday. Bye Cobber.
